Latin America MCAA Research Conference has ended

The Argentinian and the Brazilian chapters of the Marie Curie Alumni Association - MCAA invite you for the first Latin America MCAA Research Conference to be held in Buenos Aires, Argentina. 

The 2-day event is supported by EURAXESS LAC and the Argentina-EU Liaison office in their quality of Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions national contact points (NCPs).

  • Have you already participated in a project funded by MSCA, even temporarily? Join other promising alumni with varied experiences to discuss science and mobility related topics; discover how to stay connected with Europe and to develop new collaborations.

  • Are you are curious about the science done by MSCA alumni in Argentina and Brazil? Participate in our scientific panels.
  • Are you interested in a research stay in Europe or do you want to collaborate with European institutions? Join the information session on Tuesday 22 at the Spanish Embassy (08:30-12:30) and learn how you can benefit from MSCA to carry out a PhD, a Post-doctorate or a research project with several European and international institutions.

I’m Argentinian, from the Northwest, a province called Tucuman, I have worked and studied in Argentina and abroad with different scholarships: CONICET in Argentina, Fulbright in the US, German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) in Germany, European Research Council (ERC)-associated scholarship in Israel. My MSCA Incoming Fellowship was at the Max-Planck Institute for Chemical Energy Conversion in Mülheim an der Ruhr (2011-2013) and Return Phase in 2014 in my home lab in Argentina. Last year, I was awarded the Georg Forster Experienced Researcher Scholarship to continue with my projects in Germany at the Phillips University in Marburg, but due to the pandemic, I had to postpone my trips.

I am a Biologist, holding a PhD in Biochemistry. My research projects are in molecular microbiology and my areas of expertise are molecular biology, omics and electron microscopy. Currently, I am an Independent Researcher and Director of the Center for Electron Microscopy (CIME) belonging to CONICET, and the National University of Tucuman (Argentina).

I am the MCAA Argentina Chapter Founder and current Chair.
